Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are informed to read the following criteria carefully to avoid inconvenience during the application. However, applications will only be considered if the student meets the following criteria mentioned below:
Undergraduate and Masters
- Confirmation of study place or certificate of enrollment at a state or state-recognized German university or technical college for the course they want to be funded
- Foreign applicants must also demonstrate sufficient German language skills
- First-year students (Germans and foreign students with education) must apply before or at the beginning of the first semester
PhD
- Unconditional notification of admission to the doctoral scholarship

Financial Benefits
The Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarship allows applicants to submit their applications and study free in Germany. Nevertheless, the program will cover the following expenses:
- For Bachelors, Diploma, Magister or State Examination Program, a monthly stipend of EUR 750 will be provided
- For the Master’s Program, a monthly stipend of EUR 850 will be provided
- Also, the health insurance costs are funded
- Scholars with a child receive a family allowance of EUR 276
