HEC HAT Test Announcement: It has recently been announced that the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) will be conducted for the award of HEC scholarships and admissions in MS/MPhil programs. Candidates are highly encouraged to apply to this test to secure their future studies. The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has always played a key role in providing such opportunities to students. It is to be noted that the test is divided into five categories comprised of HAT 1, HAT 2, HAT 3, HAT 4, and HAT General.
HEC HAT TEST ANNOUNCEMENT: HAT Version Based on Academic Streams
The test will be organized for applicants who have already applied online for the MS/M. Phil program OR any HEC scholarships through e-portal. Those who want to secure their MS/MPhil programs in Public or Private universities are also allowed to sit in the class for the test. In addition, students who intend to apply for future advertised scholarship schemes are also allowed. Candidates are advised not to miss this opportunity and take advantage of it.

Note: Test scores for scholarships and admissions in MS/MPhil program will be valid for two years.

Any change in the test date will be communicated through the websites. Other than that, students who registered through the HEC online registration form can download their Roll Number Slip. Also, they will be able to download it from their registered Email address a week before the test date. However, candidates will be informed of the date of the test, venue, and time via Email/SMS. Applicants are advised to bring their original CNIC and Roll Number Slip on the test date.
How to Apply
HEC HAT Test Announcement: The following are the requirements that must be fulfilled.
- The online application process comprises two main parts including profile “My Profile” completion and application submission “Higher Education Aptitude Test“. However, the links are on the menu panel on the left-hand sidebar of the online portal
- Students with submitted applications via the online portal will be considered to enter the test center
- INCOMPLETE/SAVE applications will not be entertained.
- The fee for the HAT test is PKR 1500/- per candidate. Candidates are only allowed to deposit the amount fee in Habib Bank Limited (HBL) account No. 1742 7900 1334 01. Title of Account: Higher Education Commission
- Students must submit the deposit fee challan, duly stamped by an HBL branch at the time of online application
WARNING: It is to inform you that bring an original deposit slip on the test day along with your original CNIC OR PASSPORT. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to sit in the test.
